Job Summary

Student Insurance Assistants responsibilities include handling inquiries involving Student Insurance benefits, processing enrollment for students and their dependents, and review audit reports to make sure all data is correct; explain and verify student benefit coverage & assist students with enrollment/waiver inquires.

Representative Duties

  • First point of contact to educate students, parents and staff on student insurance plans
  • Provide customer service by answer incoming phone calls & walk ins with various questions and issues
  • Assist international students on current mandatory insurance requirements
  • Communicate current recommended health insurance waiver(s) for domestic students
  • Review and verify that all information is accurate on audit reports within systems used at the University
  • Monitor appropriate benefits in Workday for Graduate Assistants/Fellows
  • Assist Graduate Assistants/Fellows with forms including but limited to enrolling or removing student/dependents from coverage or updating personal information change forms
  • Review and submit payment of unpaid claims for referrals on file for local healthcare providers
  • Create and provide memo to the Controller’s Office of money orders collected for late fees
  • Assist University advisors on the student insurance enrollment information
  • Review data files and provide weekly adjustment reports on issues
  • May assist Supervisor/Manager with projects as necessary

Salary Structure
  • Comp Grade – 5
  • Minimum – $38,300.00
  • MidPoint – $46,900.00
  • Maximum – $55,500.00
