Physician Manager – Manager (PSU0276)
Job Summary
The Physician Manager leads practitioner teams including training and assessment; provides care to patients; consults with other practitioners across the University; participates on various University Health Services and broader community committees; leads health initiatives on behalf of the University.
Representative Duties
- Direct and oversee practitioner teams and departments; train and evaluate staff; provide education and development opportunities
- Conduct patient medical examinations; generate diagnoses for patients using information gathered from examinations and symptoms reported by the patient
- Perform medical and surgical procedures
- Create an assessment and plan for care for patient's concerns through a shared decision-making process
- Following applicable HIPAA regulations, communicate the patient's health information with the patient's family members, other physicians, and professional associates when indicated
- Serve as an internal referral resource for difficult or unusual patient concerns and procedures
- Determine patient follow up in accordance with appropriate regulations and standards
- Participate in Clinical Services leadership activities

- Comp Grade – 20
- Minimum – $215,600.00
- MidPoint – $274,900.00
- Maximum – $334,200.00

Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy required

8+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years of supervisory experience

Licensure or eligibility for licensure to practice medicine in Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; Board Certification or Board eligibility in a primary care specialty
