Athletic Events (Division I)



Job Summary

The Athletic Events Manager is responsible for administering all aspects of events for Division I athletic programs; establishes safety protocols; develops master event schedules; administers budgets including payroll; ensures consistency in operating procedures across programs; supervises, trains, and evaluates staff; ensures compliance with conference guidelines.

Representative Duties

  • Oversee and administer events for Division I athletic programs such as home events, athletic competitions, conferences, championship events, post-season events, and special team events; manage the bidding process, contracts, logistics, compliance, and scheduling
  • Develop and manage athletic event budgets; monitor expenditures; review and approve budget changes
  • Lead and direct event teams including hiring, training, and evaluating staff; provide development opportunities
  • Collaborate with central University areas including those related to recreation, facilities, and safety to facilitate events; represent the unit and develop partnerships with local community groups
  • Serve as a key point of contact for coaches, teams, and athletic department staff to coordinate event schedules and logistics
  • Ensure event compliance with university policies, safety protocols, and NCAA regulations

Salary Structure
  • Comp Grade – 13
  • Minimum – $86,300.00
  • MidPoint – $107,900.00
  • Maximum – $129,500.00

10+ years of relevant experience, includes 3+ years of supervisory experience
