Job Summary

The Residential Education Manager directs and coordinates the delivery of academic, educational, recreational, cultural, residential, social, and other cocurricular programs for students. This position hires, trains, supervises and evaluates staff and advises/counsels students and student organizations in the implementation and delivery of programs, events, activities and services.

Representative Duties

  • Develop, implement, plan, and evaluate student-focused programs and services including leadership training, orientation, as well as activity and residence life programming
  • Assist in the establishment of program goals and objectives
  • Develop, plan, monitor, analyze, and administer budget(s) and grants; determine program allocations
  • Participate in the development, assessment, and implementation of strategic plans
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations; analyze programs and operations
  • Resolve complex student conduct and disciplinary issues
  • Make referrals to University and community agencies as appropriate
  • Present at formal disciplinary hearings, prepare appeals, meet with victims and advocates
  • Research, plan, coordinate, promote and implement student-focused programs and services including health and wellness leadership training, orientation, as well as activity and residence life programming
  • Oversee the daily operations for office/area and/or assigned facilities including supervision and training of lower-level staff and student interns; provide input for performance evaluations
  • Counsel and advise students, student groups and organizations; oversee recognition and reward programs
  • Recommend, develop, and present training, workshops, and informational programs for students and student organizations
  • Serve as a liaison with other offices to provide advice and guidance regarding student services
  • Develop policies and procedures
  • Coordinate special programs and services for assigned groups/customers

Salary Structure
  • Comp Grade – 12
  • Minimum – $76,700.00
  • MidPoint – $95,900.00
  • Maximum – $115,100.00
