Cadaver Preparer – Advanced Professional (PSU1364)
Job Summary
The Cadaver Preparer manages, maintains, and prepares human bodies for medical training; uses embalming techniques to properly care for specimens; maintains supply inventories; monitors the appropriate collection, handling, and disposal of specimens; and communicates with funeral directors to handle specimen transportation logistics.
Representative Duties
- Perform embalming duties including preservation, sanitization, and reconstruction according to industry standards
- Ensure compliance with safety and sanitary regulations
- Maintain records and documentation as required by the PA Humanity Gift Registry guidelines
- Manage laboratory supply inventory; order materials
- Communicate with funeral directors to facilitate the receipt of bodies; coordinate the transportation of cadavers for use in laboratories and instructional settings

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 9
- Minimum – $56,200.00
- MidPoint – $68,800.00
- Maximum – $81,500.00
