Statistician – Supervisor (PSU1589)
Job Summary
The Statistician collaborates with research teams to develop and evaluate data analysis plans including study design, data collection procedures, statistical methodologies, and software specifications; analyze, interpret and create data representations using various statistical and mathematical software; and integrates emerging technologies into research recommendations.
Representative Duties
- Collaborate with investigators and other research faculty to design and implement a statistical analysis plan based on study objectives and research needs
- Provide statistical expertise in the interpretation of experimental results; integrate novel and complex statistical methodologies into protocols; analyze data using statistical or mathematical software
- Consult and advise researchers on study design, data collection procedures, determining statistical power and sample size, and designing randomization schemes
- Write specifications for files, validation checks, tables, and calculations used to collect and analyze data from a variety of sources
- Prepare visual representations and displays of statistical results for inclusion in reports, presentations, scholarly publications, and grant applications; create programming specifications for analysis datasets, tables, listings, and figures
- Make recommendations to researchers informed by new developments in the statistical and mathematical field associated with software and methodology
- Develop, test, debug, implement, modify and evaluate new or existing statistical or mathematical software programs in support of research projects

- Supervisory Responsibilities:

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 10
- Minimum – $61,800.00
- MidPoint – $75,700.00
- Maximum – $89,600.00
