Emergency Management – Senior Manager (PSU1874)
Job Summary
The Emergency Management Manager provides strategic oversight to the University's emergency management efforts, focusing on mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery.
Representative Duties
- Responsible for the oversight and direction of the Office of Emergency Management; set goals and priorities for the unit
- Provide leadership and direction to the University regarding emergency management issues
- Oversee and direct the operations of the University Police and Public Safety Operations Center
- Function as part of the University Police and Public Safety leadership team
- Research and purchase safety equipment for the Operations Center; keep up to date on technologies in the field, changing methods, and laws and regulations for doing business in a Public Safety Access Point
- Oversee emergency management policy and procedure compliance
- Represent emergency management interests of the University to our partners at the local, county, state and federal level
- Provide emergency management services to the twenty-two Commonwealth Campuses
- Develop, maintain, and monitor budgets
- Provides oversight to the University Police and Public Safety Operations Center
- Advise on policies, procedures, and current events to University leadership and management

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 14
- Minimum – $97,100.00
- MidPoint – $121,400.00
- Maximum – $145,700.00

Master's Degree
Minimum Experience
10+ years of relevant experience, includes 3+ years of supervisory experience
