Job Summary

The Academic Records Manager supervises teams responsible for overseeing and coordinating student records. This position provides leadership in the areas of curriculum changes, class and classroom scheduling, and final exams, and is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing new records systems and services.

Representative Duties

  • Supervise academic records staff; establish job expectations, assign duties, ensure adherence to University policies and procedures, and evaluate performance
  • Oversee registration processes including the discontinuation of students not registered for the current semester and termination activation of all students returning for a new semester
  • Create and assign enrollment appointments for all students; assign holds and activity guides related to the registration process
  • Resolve errors related to enrollment, ensure adherence to University policies and procedures
  • Solve complex academic records issues and serve as a key escalation point for problems
  • Recommend operational procedural changes to increase efficiencies and improve services
  • Lead and participate on teams to implement record system changes; ensure changes are complete, accurate, and adhere to University policy before implementation
  • Oversee enrollment and degree reporting management
  • Manage a variety of high-level, confidential, and sensitive internal and external records communications
  • Analyze information and compose communications through face-to-face interaction with customers and via e-mail
  • Develop and maintain positive liaison relationships with various internal and external customers
  • Facilitate and direct the development of the University course offering by publishing and communicating the process schedules to department scheduling personnel and campus Registrars
  • Work closely with the Office of Student Aid to ensure university maintains compliance with federal guidelines

Salary Structure
  • Comp Grade – 11
  • Minimum – $68,200.00
  • MidPoint – $85,200.00
  • Maximum – $102,300.00

10+ years of relevant experience, includes 3+ years of supervisory experience
