Job Summary

The Campus Registrar Manager leads the campus academic records function at a Campus College in cooperation with the campus administration and the office of the University Registrar. This position publishes the campus schedule of courses and assigns classroom space; develops the schedule by providing a point of review for problems and ensures resolution before publication; oversees student academic records actions; ensures grades are submitted in a timely and accurate manner; verifies eligibility for graduation; solves problems related to academic student records and procedures; provides data analysis to support academic and administrative decisions.

Representative Duties

  • Lead registration and scheduling activities for a Campus College, determining and making appropriate adjustments as necessary
  • Serve as the senior expert and consultant to campus leadership on a variety of situations and issues related to records management
  • Ensure adherence to unit, University, state and federal policies [e.g., Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)], and procedures and provide training regarding such policies and procedures
  • Make recommendations for academic and administrative decisions based on data and analysis pulled from a variety of sources
  • Administer and direct compliance of unit and University policies as they relate to records management
  • Recommend changes to University policies, and procedures related to academic records
  • Manage and address problem situations with students, faculty, and staff
  • Manage a team of staff including hiring, assigning work, managing workflow and deadlines, ensuring quality of service, and creating development opportunities
  • Participate in the development of a budget for the unit
  • Authorize expenditures based on unit, University, and/or customer needs
  • Develop and plan resource allocation and distribution for the unit, including staff, equipment, and other resources
  • Oversee change management process when shifts in resource distribution have significant impact on the unit and/or the University
  • Lead development of the unit’s strategic plan within assigned functional area
  • Coordinate implementation of strategies where they impact other units or require cooperation with external entities
  • Evaluate effectiveness of strategies and determine if outcomes are in alignment with University objectives
  • Ensure appropriate application, implementation, monitoring, measurement, evaluation, analysis and adjustment occur within functional areas to ensure the quality standards are met
  • May serve as the School Certifying Official, the primary point of contact for Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) education benefits; process and maintain VA certification operations in compliance with federal and university policies

  • Comp Grade – 11
  • Minimum – $68,200.00
  • MidPoint – $85,200.00
  • Maximum – $102,300.00
