Construction Project Coordinator – Advanced Professional (PSU0586)

Job Summary

The Construction Project Coordinator oversees construction, renovation, and major maintenance projects for assigned campuses; coordinates work activities of maintenance staff, contractors, and subcontractors; tracks progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, or other performance indicators; prepares and delivers progress and challenge reports; selects, negotiates with, and manages activities of external consultants, contractors, and vendors.

Representative Duties

  • Define, prioritize, coordinate, and manage all phases of construction, renovation, and major maintenance projects for assigned campuses; oversee work quality, timeline, and costs
  • Serve as main point-of-contact and liaison to University Park personnel, project stakeholders, contractors, consultants, and vendors
  • Facilitate preparation and coordination of design specification, estimate, and budget
  • Coordinate work activities of staff, consultants, contractors, etc.; coordinate and schedule utility shutdowns
  • Schedule, conduct, and facilitate project meetings and site inspections; track progress against project milestones, budgetary guidelines, or other performance indicators; identify and resolve issues; prepare and deliver progress and challenge reports
  • Create and solicit proposal requests; review and grade bids; in collaboration with stakeholders and other University personnel, make selections; negotiate with external consultants and vendors; manage activity
  • Monitor and enforce University policies, practices, and procedures; keep abreast of and ensure compliance with all legislative and regulatory matters impacting project and personnel
  • Respond to emergency situations including utility failures, major equipment failures, and power interruptions; assist with staff and student notifications, relocations, and other safety measures; facilitate emergency repair funding and insurance claims

  • Minimum – $56,200.00
  • MidPoint – $68,800.00
  • Maximum – $81,500.00
