Athletic Compliance Manager – Manager (PSU0084)
Job Summary
The Athletics Compliance Manager oversees compliance of Commonwealth Campus athletic programs participating in NCAA Division III and the Penn State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC). Primary responsibilities include keeping abreast of regulatory requirements and changes; providing rules interpretation and guidance; overseeing compliance monitoring and audits; addressing and resolving program violations; providing training programs.
Representative Duties
- Develop and oversee compliance education and training programs for administrators, coaches, faculty, student-athletes, staff, and boosters
- Research, interpret, and ensure effective communication of NCAA, PSUAC, and governmental compliance rules, regulations, and policies
- Oversee compliance monitoring of athletic activities including student-athlete eligibility certifications, recruiting contact and evaluations, official and unofficial visits, speaking engagements, financial aid tenders, name/image/likeness, social media, and telephone records, etc.
- Direct internal quality assurance audits and reviews; assess program effectives; address/remediate deficits; make/communicate changes
- Ensure administrators, coaches, and other personnel are prepared for external compliance audits and inspections; direct and review pre-audit inspections; as applicable, draft NCAA/PSUAC petitions; follow NCAA/PSUAC Requests and Self-Report protocols
- Investigate, address, and report compliance violations; assess information, review precedent, enforce penalties
- Keep abreast of regulatory requirements, peer University infraction cases, legislative proposals, and industry trends; coordinate department review and input; develop operational changes, policies, and procedures; establish standards; ensure compliance
- Hire, train, coach, supervise, and evaluate employees; identify and provide professional development opportunities

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 13
- Minimum – $86,300.00
- MidPoint – $107,900.00
- Maximum – $129,500.00

8+ years of relevant experience, includes 3+ years of supervisory experience
