Extension Program Manager – Manager (PSU2150)
Job Summary
The Extension Program Manager provides administrative, financial, operational, and programmatic leadership to an Extension unit and program teams; ensures portfolios are effective, innovative, and responsive through strategic assessment and planning; fosters partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to advance program goals; and mentors and coaches program team members.
Representative Duties
- Oversee Extension portfolios including the effective development, delivery, and marketing of program offerings and products; identify program gaps and recommend solutions; ensure alignment with the Extension mission and business model
- Administer, forecast, and plan program budgets; manage and approve expenditures; allocate resources; identify new revenue streams; and analyze financial data
- Establish and assess performance benchmarks; ensure that programs are relevant, innovative, and responsive to customer and community needs
- Develop relationships with extension leadership, college administrators, local governments, stakeholder groups, and community partners in order to promote, grow, and ensure the success of Extension programs
- Develop, implement, and evaluate processes and procedures; ensure compliance with college and University policies
- Hire, supervise, mentor, direct, and evaluate program team members; develop and deliver professional development opportunities

- – Demonstrates proficient ability in work design, project management, financial planning and development of goals for accomplishing unit assignments. Reviews and guides work to ensure conformity to policy and effective approaches. Evaluates employee performance and recommend development opportunities. Demonstrates ability to coach employees. Presents and communicates key university indicatives and connects it to unit contributions. Provides broad guidelines. Develops, evaluates, enhances, and/or implements quality improvement practices. Recommends innovative solutions.
- Supervisory Responsibilities:

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 11
- Minimum – $68,200.00
- MidPoint – $85,200.00
- Maximum – $102,300.00

8+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years of supervisory experience
