Medical Fundraiser – Advanced Professional (PSU1685)
Job Summary
Medical Fundraisers identify, assess, cultivate, solicit and steward major gift prospects and donors of Penn State Health; responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of individual major gift prospects and donors to the Penn State Health System; typically has a primary focused prospect group of referrals across multiple institutional departments and divisions; develop strategies for individual prospective donors, including the coordination of physician interaction with prospects; coordinate department and division-based special events and coordinate the preparation of major gift proposals; develop an understanding of the educational, research, clinical and financial needs and goals.
Representative Duties
- Identify, assess, cultivate, solicit, and steward Hershey Medical Center faculty, senior health system, college of medicine leadership, and current and potential donors in the support of funding priorities
- Direct and prepare various types of communications to major gift/planned gift prospects and donors, including proposals, cultivation, and stewardship materials
- Identify and qualify prospects through various sources and partners
- Formulate, recommend, and implement prospect engagement, solicitation and stewardship strategies, primarily major gift, and associated timelines based on needs and goals of primary departments
- Schedule appointments for face-to-face, phone and virtual meetings
- Work closely with chair, faculty, clinicians, staff, volunteers, and senior leadership on strategy initiatives to engage and steward donors and prospects
- Oversee and/or coordinate donor related special events
- Maintain internal records and reports of contact for all assigned prospects and other constituents
- Work with volunteers to further fundraising efforts either within or outside of the committee structure
- May serve on community boards/committees to further engage in the community
- May oversee lower-level staff

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 12
- Minimum – $76,700.00
- MidPoint – $95,900.00
- Maximum – $115,100.00
