Medical Fundraiser Manager – Manager (PSU2378)
Job Summary
The Medical Fundraiser Manager is responsible for leading a team of gift officers and alumni relations professionals that primarily serve the medical college and academic medical center’s mission, programs, scholarships, research, and student success; directs the team in the development and implementation of a multi-year strategy to enhance a culture of philanthropy at the College of Medicine that includes engagement of alumni, faculty, staff and emeritus faculty; oversees the implementation of the alumni relations engagement and communications; serves a critical role in identifying, prioritizing and achieving fundraising goals.
Representative Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to support the College of Medicine's initiatives, including scholarships, research, faculty support, and capital projects
- Lead and mentor gift officers and alumni relations specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional development
- Lead the identification, cultivation, stewardship, and solicitation of major gift prospects that align with the priorities of the Penn State College of Medicine and Penn State Health
- Work with team to implement strategic prospect management, expand the prospect pipeline, and meaningfully steward existing donors
- Develop and execute short- and long-term alumni engagement and fundraising team goals, plans, and objectives
- Monitor fundraising progress and provide regular reports to leadership on the status of campaigns and donor engagement
- Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to develop fundraising materials and messaging that resonate with prospective donors
- Provide formal and informal communications to University, business, social, and civic groups that articulate the needs, ambitions, and values of the College of Medicine and Penn State Health
- Strengthen existing partnerships, securing new commitments and driving philanthropic success
- Plan and execute fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives to increase donor engagement and giving and to enhance strategic relationships
- Oversee campus visits and fundraising efforts to execute effective solicitation and stewardship strategies
- Serve as a front-line fundraiser responsible for identifying sources of individual philanthropy to advance the mission of the College of Medicine and Penn State Health
- Ensure effective utilization of donor databases and other tools to track engagement and manage relationships
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends in medical philanthropy, fundraising best practices, and the College's programs and initiatives

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 15
- Minimum – $109,300.00
- MidPoint – $136,600.00
- Maximum – $164,000.00
