Instructional Technology Specialist – Intermediate Professional (PSU0796)
Job Summary
Instructional Technology Specialists develop engaging and immersive learner experiences by leveraging digital technologies and design principles to create media solutions; produce media assets including graphics, video, and data visualizations; design virtual learning environments, and collaborate with production teams to develop digital materials that align with course objectives.
Representative Duties
- Evaluate academic program and course needs to develop visual design plans and digital media solutions
- Curate, design, and produce media for course assets including infographics, illustrations, video and audio composition, animations, diagrams, and models
- Design and maintain virtual learning environments including virtual studios, immersive experiences, and extended reality experiences
- Collaborate with faculty, instructional designers, and production teams to develop and deliver online course materials/experiences; ensure that design plans align with pedagogical objectives
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies in learning design, media trends and theories related to learner experience
- Ensure accessibility standards are met; integrate assistive technology, accessible design, and universal design principles and guidelines with digital material
- Create original artwork and illustrations for use in digital media
- Maintain and support learner technologies for use in instructional activities including multimedia recording and editing software and digital media equipment
- Develop training materials for faculty in the use of lecture technologies and video hosting platforms
- May supervise staff members, including hiring, development, and performance management

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 8
- Minimum – $51,000.00
- MidPoint – $62,500.00
- Maximum – $74,000.00
