Tax Compliance Manager – Senior Manager (PSU2411)

Job Summary

The Tax Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring the University’s compliance with tax regulations and laws; analyzes changes to tax regulations and interprets the impact to the organization; serves as a consultant to stakeholders, leadership, and units on all tax issues.

Representative Duties

  • Ensure University compliance with tax regulations; establish the organizational tax strategy
  • Prepare and file federal and state returns on behalf of the University
  • Conduct analyses related to tax audits; minimize risk of non-compliance, liabilities, or legal issues
  • Develop and implement University tax policies and procedures to ensure consistent and accurate tax reporting
  • Provide expert consultation to other tax and financial units throughout the organization
  • Interpret, analyze, and research new tax laws or regulations; determine the impact or necessary response to changes
  • Communicate and disseminate complex information to stakeholders, executives, and leadership teams; understand the different interests and needs of clients while ensuring consistency and compliance across units
  • Develop tax planning strategies; ensure the university optimizes tax benefits while maintaining compliance with applicable laws
  • Lead and mentor team(s), including staffing, performance management, training, and professional development

– Typically has final signature authority for specific area

Salary Structure
  • Comp Grade – 15
  • Minimum – $109,300.00
  • MidPoint – $136,600.00
  • Maximum – $164,000.00

10+ years of relevant experience, includes 3+ years of supervisory experience
