Job Summary and Representative Duties
The Athletic Analytics Specialist supports the success of a high-performance collegiate athletic program by delivering advanced data analysis, strategic insights, and operational support; is responsible for evaluating athlete, team, and opponent performance; collaborates closely with coaching staff to develop data-informed strategies, scouting materials, and performance reports that enhance competitive outcomes.
- Analyze practices, game performance, and opponent tendencies to deliver actionable insights that inform coaching strategies, game planning, and in-competition adjustments
- Prepare, review, and interpret individual athlete, unit, and team performance data using advanced analytics tools and video analysis platforms
- Generate detailed scouting reports, playbooks, call sheets, schemes, and scripts for coaches
- Develop preliminary scouting reports and strategic schemes in advance of practices and competitions
- Create and deliver self-scout reports to evaluate team tendencies, strengths, and areas for improvement
- Perform quality control duties, including charting plays and statistics, maintaining depth charts, and evaluating game film, in collaboration with the coaching staff
- Coordinate the collection, integration, and distribution of data, ensuring timely access for coaches and staff
- Support the coaching staff by preparing, organizing, and maintaining materials essential to the successful operation of the program
- Identify trends and performance indicators through statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and video breakdown
- Coordinate meetings between the program, external consulting partners, student-athletes, and families to support informed decision-making processes
- Oversee relationships with external stakeholders, including agent consultants, ensuring student-athletes receive appropriate guidance during the agent selection process
- Facilitate communication and logistics between coaching staff, analytics providers, and program leadership
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of all performance data, reports, and analytics systems

- MidPoint – $75,700.00
