Technical Director – Intermediate Professional (PSU0060)
Job Summary
The Technical Director provides direction and leadership for the overall operations of a theatre and/or visual arts program including strategic direction, project management, financial oversight, and operational guidance.
Representative Duties
- Direct the day-to-day operations of assigned school, theatre, or program; establish and implement new policies and procedures
- Oversee production operations including rehearsals, work calls, and performances
- Provide oversight and operational support for a prop, stage, or costume shop
- Oversee budgets; track and audit expenditures; ensure optimal resource allocation
- Solicit and oversee grants
- Maintain production and facility schedules; ensure space needs are met for productions
- Create, implement, and maintain safety protocols and processes; assist in the development of the overall safety policy for assigned area
- Ensure crews are appropriately staffed and trained
- May coordinate and secure rights for productions; partner with Risk Management and Finance as needed
- May teach a for credit course in area of expertise
- May supervise staff members, including hiring, development, and performance management

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 7
- Minimum – $46,400.00
- MidPoint – $56,800.00
- Maximum – $67,300.00
