Human Resources Assistant – Support (PSU0184)
Job Summary
The Human Resources (HR) Assistant supports the daily management of HR operations; administers various human resources programs and processes various forms using the human resources information system and customer relationship management systems; provides assistance and coordination for various human resources functions, including talent acquisition, training, onboarding payroll, and/or various programs for a college or unit.
Representative Duties
- Process human resources forms (i.e., re-appointments, leaves, wage payroll, pay increases, etc.); enter information into human resources systems
- Assist employees with the completion of and human resources forms (e.g., I-9, W-4, etc.) in accordance with Federal/State laws and University policies
- Ensure that forms are processed in accordance with deadlines
- Answer general human resources inquiries and/or refer to HR Services
- May coordinate the hiring process, post job announcements and advertisements, coordinate interview materials, and prepare offer letters
- May assist with the onboarding process; maintain up-to-date records of actions, decisions, and timeframes
- Determine and advise on appropriate employee appointments
- May calculate eligibility requirements or verify eligibility data
- Enroll or remove individuals from various plans and programs
- Assist with various ongoing human resources-related projects
- Generate and review reports; update data/information and track changes
- May coordinate the work of others

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 4
- Minimum – $34,800.00
- MidPoint – $42,600.00
- Maximum – $50,500.00
