Pharmacist Manager – Manager (PSU0272)
Job Summary
The Pharmacist Manager is responsible for the overall management of the pharmacy including purchasing, inventory control, budgeting, quality assurance/quality improvement, maintenance of turn-around times and staff supervision. This position ensures governing boards laws and regulations are followed and compliance measurers are met.
Representative Duties
- Oversee and direct day to day management and operations of the pharmacy
- Plan and monitor pharmacy budget and control inventory
- Interpret, process and dispense prescription orders for students, staff, faculty, and retirees
- Counsel patients on appropriate use of medication and expected side effects; answer patient questions and facilitate communication with patients and prescribers
- Communicate with pharmacy staff, outside vendors and University stakeholders
- Develop and maintain internal and external relationships with relevant University departments and external partners
- Design, monitor, and implement changes to workflow; develop and implement new pharmacy policies and procedures
- Recruit, hire, train and supervise employees
- Review employee required trainings and direct the timely completion of training to remain compliant with applicable rules, laws, directives and guidelines
- Participate in strategic planning and development for assigned unit; provide relevant data to aid in decision-making

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 16
- Minimum – $123,200.00
- MidPoint – $157,100.00
- Maximum – $191,000.00
