Media Operations Manager – Manager (PSU0566)
Job Summary
Media Operations Managers are responsible for oversight of the day-to-day broadcast and media distribution operations; provide vision, strategic development, and oversight of all content distribution; provide key performance metrics, strategies, and operational guidelines for the organization while aligning with overall University goals.
Representative Duties
- Lead staff, including hiring, development, and performance management
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day broadcast and media distribution operations, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, broadcast industry standards, university policies, and safety guidelines
- Oversee and manage program development and production, scheduling, broadcast engineering and operations, regulatory compliance, and reporting
- Ensure the station(s) project an on-air image of high production values and quality of content and that all technical standards are regularly measured and met
- Lead the acquisition, production, and distribution of diverse programming content that attracts, maintains, and increases audience engagement
- Negotiate contracts for the acquisition and distribution of program content; ensure compliance with all applicable terms, rights, and releases
- Lead or assist in station development functions; work to cultivate donor support for new projects and ongoing services; conceive entrepreneurial projects to generate revenue; identify funding sources and develop funding proposals

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 11
- Minimum – $68,200.00
- MidPoint – $85,200.00
- Maximum – $102,300.00

8+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years of supervisory experience
