Media Production Specialist – Intermediate Professional (PSU0787)
Job Summary
Media Production Specialists schedule and ensure proper utilization of organization's facilities and personnel for production; evaluate production needs and establish project timelines; consult with various personnel to determine most efficient execution of production design including scriptwriting, research; lighting; and audio-visual experience.
Representative Duties
- Plan various media aspects of a production or event, to include but not limited to athletic videoboard productions, arena events, and television studio productions
- Coordinate all technical and logistical details for media (e.g., scenery, lighting, etc.)
- Advise customers as to appropriate technical solutions and media equipment
- Provide consultative and technical assistance to media productions
- Coordinate personnel responsible for setup and teardown for each event produced
- Provide event support on-site, at the remote broadcast location, and in control rooms
- Provide quality control of on-air talent and assist in selecting storylines and major broadcast elements
- Convert media from third parties for in-event and/or post-production use; provide footage to media outlets as approved by management
- Conduct post-production meetings to recap and provide feedback to crew
- Research present and future technologies; recommend upgrades and enhancements
- Assist with the directing and producing of broadcasts
- Ensure compliance with rights management and permissions
- Lead workshops and trainings for studio and control room equipment and procedures
- May train, schedule and assign work to students and part time employees; create, organize, and distribute crew schedules

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 7
- Minimum – $46,400.00
- MidPoint – $56,800.00
- Maximum – $67,300.00
