Job Summary

The Planner/Scheduler uses software platforms to communicate, delegate, update, track, shutdown, and schedule various items University-wide. Work includes project approvals/close outs, communication with customers, and interruption of utilities/building functions.

Representative Duties

  • Primary point of contact for maintaining the procedure manual and conducting training
  • Process jobs in various software platforms
  • Analyze data, update work orders, schedule, and plan events
  • Review all shutdowns; communicate and coordinate with customers/department to minimize facility interruptions due to repairs, renovations, and construction projects
  • Inform customers about special alerts, such as fire alarm testing, crane lifts, roadway closings, sidewalk closings, and taking parking spaces offline, along with other special events as they occur throughout the University
  • Develop/maintain procedures for executing preventative maintenance contracts and the handling of all contractors as well as review procedure modifications
  • Monitor agreements for compliance with contractual requirements
  • Assist Procurement with contracts, addenda, and reference contracts verbiage as needed
  • Correspond with vendors regarding performance, reporting, and invoicing
  • Serve as liaison for a single point of contact for vendor
  • May evaluate data records and files of work performed for cost and budgetary forecasting analysis
  • May supervise staff members, including hiring, development, and performance management

  • Minimum – $38,300.00
  • MidPoint – $46,900.00
  • Maximum – $55,500.00
