Community Engagement Manager – Manager (PSU1743)
Job Summary
The Community Engagement Manager provides leadership and direction for external engagement strategies focused on community groups, private corporations, non-profits, and local government; represents and promotes University interests with external stakeholders; consults leadership on engagement opportunities and initiatives; develops opportunities to leverage University resources within local communities.
Representative Duties
- Develop and implement strategies to engage external constituents, key community boards and groups, government leadership and representatives, and corporations; build and strengthen networks and relationships between the University and external community
- Represent and champion University interests by leading or participating in key, influential advisory boards, commissions, and local businesses
- Serve as an expert consultant on University engagement activities; partner with campus or unit leadership to establish agendas and goals in relation to outreach and engagement; provide recommendations for government, community, and international relations strategies
- Develop opportunities to leverage University programming, services, and resources in response to identified community needs
- Design and implement engagement projects; provide direction for all funding, marketing, assessment, and communication activities
- Oversee assigned staff including hiring, workflow delegation, development, and evaluation responsibilities

- Supervisory Responsibilities:

– May plan, forecast, and/or assist in developing budgets

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 13
- Minimum – $86,300.00
- MidPoint – $107,900.00
- Maximum – $129,500.00

Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Experience
8+ years of relevant experience, includes 3+ years of supervisory experience
Equivalency
An equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
