Facilities Engineering Manager – Senior Manager (PSU1753)
Job Summary
The Facilities Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing the design, planning, construction, and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities; plan, budget, and schedule facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials, and other related costs; oversee the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services, and facilities expansion; establish and oversee health and safety standards.
Representative Duties
- Oversee assigned areas; supervise staff members, including hiring, development, and performance management
- Coordinate consulting services for engineering, maintenance, and operations of the University’s utility production and distribution/conveyance systems and building mechanical and electrical systems
- Manage projects of various size and scope; make contributions to determining feasibility of goals and objectives
- Manage program budgets; forecast for future needs and participate in strategic planning
- Responsible for assuring quality, cost effectiveness, and timeliness of engineering/utility projects
- Negotiate and process rights-of-way and agreements with utility companies, corporations, governmental agencies, and individuals
- Manage and oversee the development of utility masterplans for all campus locations
- Prepare/oversee various environmental impact statements, reports, and permit applications
- Manage assigned programs to include education, data collection, procurement, and conservation initiatives
- Maintain external relationships to identify and develop new opportunities for services and ways to assist client needs
- Evaluate existing standards and modify/improve as needed

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 16
- Minimum – $123,200.00
- MidPoint – $157,100.00
- Maximum – $191,000.00
