Athletic Compliance Specialist – Senior Professional (PSU1799)
Job Summary
Athletic Compliance Specialists assist with maintaining institutional control through effectively communicating and providing compliance education and guidance. Responsibilities include monitoring activity; conducting audits and investigations; identifying and reporting violations; assisting with remediation.
Representative Duties
- Research and communicate NCAA, Conference, University, and governmental compliance rules and rules interpretation to coaches, staff, student-athletes, and boosters; provide counsel and guidance; implement educational programs and conduct training sessions
- Monitor all athletic-related activity including recruiting contact and evaluations, official and unofficial visits, financial aid tenders, speaking engagements, name/image/likeness, social media accounts, telephone records; identify, report, and investigate compliance violations
- Conduct internal quality assurance audits and reviews ensuring policy, procedure, rules and regulation compliance; assess program effectiveness; maintain records and data; prepare reports and present findings; recommend changes and corrective actions as applicable
- Prepare administrators, coaches, and all relevant personnel for external compliance audits and inspections; conduct pre-audit/inspection interviews and record reviews; identify areas of concern; prepare reports and provide advice
- Act as liaison between Admissions and Athletics Compliance; track and coordinate student-athlete applications and transfer admissions; complete course reviews and identify eligibility concerns; manage initial and continuing eligibility certification
- Ensure external community initiatives, such as donation requests and student-athlete promotional activities, meet regulatory compliance
- Keep abreast of changing compliance rules, regulation, and guideline requirements; make appropriate notifications

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 11
- Minimum – $68,200.00
- MidPoint – $85,200.00
- Maximum – $102,300.00
