Job Summary and Representative Duties
The Athletic Recruiting Specialist supports Division I athletic programs by coordinating and executing all aspects of the recruiting process; partners closely with coaching staffs to identify, evaluate, and recruit prospective student-athletes while ensuring a high-quality, compliant, and organized recruiting experience; serves as a primary point of contact for prospects and their families, manages recruiting operations, and oversees recruiting communications.
- Coordinate athletic recruiting processes, including prospect identification, evaluation, ranking, and engagement strategies
- Collaborate with coaching staffs to assess talent and maintain updated recruiting boards and priority lists
- Facilitate and lead prospect evaluation meetings, providing data insights and organizational support
- Track recruiting progress and ensure alignment with program goals and timelines
- Maintain and manage comprehensive prospect databases, including rankings, evaluations, contact logs, and visit lists
- Ensure accuracy, organization, and timely updates of recruiting information systems
- Generate reports and analytics to support decision-making and recruiting strategy
- Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective student-athletes and their families
- Maintain consistent communication with prospects via phone, email, and approved digital platforms
- Support coaches in cultivating relationships with recruits through personalized outreach and follow-up
- Assist in planning and executing recruiting visits, including travel arrangements, itineraries, accommodations, and transportation
- Collaborate in the development and execution of on-campus visit experiences to ensure a professional and engaging environment for prospects
- Coordinate ticket requests for home games and other sporting events for prospective student athletes
- Support completion of compliance documentation, questionnaires, and required recruiting forms
- Manage recruiting-related social media communications in alignment with program and institutional branding
- Provide input on recruiting messaging and content strategy
- Design and deliver virtual visit presentations and digital recruiting materials
- Work collaboratively with compliance staff to ensure all recruiting activities adhere to NCAA, conference, and institutional regulations
- Monitor recruiting activities and documentation for compliance accuracy
- Assist in audits and reporting as required
- May supervise staff members, including hiring, development, and performance management

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 9
- Minimum – $56,200.00
- MidPoint – $68,800.00
- Maximum – $81,500.00
