Payroll Associate – Supervisor (PSU1990)
Job Summary
The Payroll Associate prepares the monthly payroll information by entering payroll data to payroll system. Responsible for balancing payroll runs, producing federal, state, and local tax payments. Answers questions and requirements about payroll information.
Representative Duties
- Calculate gross and net pay amounts (e.g., salary, overtime, shift payments, sales commissions, deferred compensation, benefits, tax withholdings, deductions, payroll liabilities, etc.)
- Payroll-specific records maintenance (changes in wage/salary rates; pension, insurance, mandatory deductions)
- Reconciliation of payroll records (e.g., payments, deductions, general ledger entries for wages)
- Payroll data verification and administration
- Monitor and manage payroll legislation compliance
- Answer questions from employees and supervisors regarding payroll matters

- Supervisory Responsibilities:

– Typically oversees at least 2 full–time direct reports or equivalent team of part–time and/or student workers (for Support track, performs work at Senior Support level or higher; for Professional track, performs work at the Advanced Professional level or higher)

– May validate and pay invoices
– May monitor/track budgets for specific area and/or grant(s)

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 9
- Minimum – $56,200.00
- MidPoint – $68,800.00
- Maximum – $81,500.00
