Recreation Programs Specialist – Professional (PSU2093)
Job Summary
The Recreation Programs Specialist oversees, develops, and implements all aspects of a recreational program including event planning, program design, safety and compliance, program logistics, and program staff.
Representative Duties
- Develop, deliver, and evaluate recreational programs for students, faculty, and staff including intramural, club, fitness, and wellness programs
- Plan activities in support of recreational programs such as practices, events, fitness sessions, and clinics
- Develop and implement procedures to ensure compliance with University policies, assess programs to identify risks and maintain safety regulations
- Hire, train, and supervise student workers; facilitate and deliver trainings, ensure compliance with policies and procedures, facilitate development opportunities, and document standard operating procedures
- Manage and oversee program logistics including participant registration procedures, event space coordination, resource allocation, and activity scheduling
- Collaborate with departments in Campus Recreation to develop, promote, and identify opportunities for new programs
- Coordinate and oversee the marketing and promotion of programs, activities, and events
- Provide specialized fitness instruction in both individual and group settings
- Develop, monitor, and administer budgets, maintain financial reporting to effectively use funds
- Oversee recreational event personnel, vendor operations, and volunteer activities
- May supervise staff members, including hiring, development, and performance management

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 5
- Minimum – $38,300.00
- MidPoint – $46,900.00
- Maximum – $55,500.00
