Engineering Configuration Manager – Advanced Professional (PSU2485)
Job Summary and Representative Duties
The Engineering Configuration Manager ensures Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) product design and development are completely and accurately recorded throughout the engineering lifecycle; establishes, maintains, and reviews system design and program delivery documents to ensure successful delivery of a product; generates and facilitates configuration management plans; collaborates with investigators, sponsors, and technical staff to ensure delivery of the Technical Data Package (TDP); may provide subject matter expertise in engineering discipline(s) and configuration management to successfully meet the needs of a project.
Administer configuration management (CM) of developmental and operational systems
Facilitate and collaborate with investigators and project stakeholders to create and maintain configuration management baselines (development, test, production, etc.) supporting developmental or operational systems
Coordinate with project teams and investigators to create and maintain hardware and software version control processes, policies, and procedures, culminating in delivery of a Technical Data Package (TDP)
Use or recommend automated CM tools to implement CM policies and procedures
Maintain and update CM policy, plans, and procedures through the Configuration Management Plan
Audit CM processes, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence by sponsored programs and projects throughout development and prior to final delivery
May develop and maintain software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products
Collaborate with Systems Engineers and Investigators to conduct reviews of CM documents to ensure product configurations/deliverables are documented
Define and create CM audit reports
Design and establish configuration management documentation
May supervise staff members, including hiring, development, and performance management

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 12
- Minimum – $76,700.00
- MidPoint – $95,900.00
- Maximum – $115,100.00
