Foundation Relations Manager – Senior Manager (PSU2529)
Job Summary and Representative Duties
The Foundation Relations Manager provides leadership and oversight for the University's foundation relations program and team; develops and implements strategies to foster, secure, and expand an engaged and diverse portfolio of partner foundations; defines strategies to cultivate productive relationships with foundations in order to ensure sustained investment in University initiatives; directs the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of philanthropic commitments from foundations to support the mission and goals of the University.
- Lead, direct, and execute the University foundation relations program aimed at developing productive and strategic relationships with independent, philanthropic, or company foundations; direct strategies for securing long term foundation engagement
- Identify opportunities to engage new foundations and to match specific foundations with relevant initiatives and priorities
- Establish goals and metrics for the foundation relations team; promote the achievements and successes of the team; develop opportunities for cross unit collaborations in support of large-scale development initiatives; develop, prioritize, and implement strategies in partnership with leadership; build stakeholder consensus and commitment for projects and initiatives
- Facilitate engagement between faculty and foundation representatives in order to foster sustainable relationships; provide faculty and unit partners with training, materials, and tools to promote positive and meaningful interactions
- Lead a team of development officers responsible for securing major gifts; provide performance evaluation and development opportunities; evaluate and assign priorities
- Direct all foundation related research activities; analyze data and advise on foundation interest and capacity for investment
- Maintain awareness of and integrate emerging research and best practices into the organizational strategy; implement new strategies based on industry trends
- Collaborate with leadership and executive teams to oversee the establishment, cultivation, and stewardship of fundraising plans for targeted foundation prospects and donors; develop, review and approve proposals

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 14
- Minimum – $97,100.00
- MidPoint – $121,400.00
- Maximum – $145,700.00
