Job Summary

The Annual Giving Specialist manages annual giving fundraising efforts for alumni, students, families, and friends across the University system, including annual receipt and participation goals; provides professional guidance and support for mail, phone and email solicitations to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward constituencies’ support on an annual basis; develops and implements strategies targeted at acquisition, retention, and reactivation of donors.

Representative Duties

  • Plan, implement, and manage fundraising initiatives, strategies, budgets, and programs
  • Identify, solicit, cultivate, and steward prospects and donors
  • Develop and manage selected fundraising activities, including direct mail, telemarketing, e-communications, personal solicitations, and event planning
  • Manage specific annual giving programs for targeted audiences
  • Work with University colleagues and volunteers to support and promote the broad-based fund-raising goals of the assigned unit as well as the University
  • Develop and produce internal and external materials, proposals, solicitations, and reports
  • Interact with University staff and administration
  • Work with and manage vendors, staff, volunteers, donors, committees, and boards
  • Coordinate and participate in various meetings and professional activities
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with alumni and friends of the University
  • May assume responsibility for office operations, as necessary
  • May supervise staff members, including hiring, development, and performance management

  • MidPoint – $56,800.00
