Integrated Security Specialist – Principal Professional (PSU0158)
Job Summary
The Integrated Security Specialist within the Applied Research Laboratory is responsible for the implementation, development, and enforcement of security policies and procedures that monitor and ensure compliance with governmental regulations; handle the intake of complex security matters and determination of appropriate processes; develop and conduct briefings and trainings on a range of security procedures and regulations; generate test plans, movement plans, and coordinate with test range personnel in support of field test activities.
Representative Duties
- Oversee the intake of complex security matters and determine appropriate processes; participate in the correction of security compliance issues
- Administer advanced security programs supporting the entire laboratory and University such as Communications Security (COMSEC), Information System Security Program, and Operations Security (OPSEC)
- Interpret security policies and directives; assist with implementation and enforcement of security procedures
- Develop and present briefings/training on a range of security procedures and regulations
- Establish, implement, accredit, and close out secure facilities in accordance with sponsor security directives
- Prepare and issue government forms (e.g., DD 254) for classified contracts in support of a delivery order, subcontract, purchase order, or request for proposal
- Analyze contract proposals to identify and respond to all security needs including invoicing
- Generate test plans, movement plans, and coordinate with test range personnel in support of field test activities
- Monitor visitor control and accesses
- Oversee document control databases and verification of reproduction, distribution, destruction, and receipt records
- Provide guidance to employees regarding classification and proper marking of documents and media
- Ensure personnel processed for access meet prerequisite for personnel security clearance and/or investigate requirements specified by the security manual
- Support the security of movement and test activities and classified conferences
- Prepare for and represent the Laboratory in all special program security inspections by U.S. government agencies
- Manage Communications Security (COMSEC) equipment and documentation
- May be responsible for coordinating construction activities to meet security standards

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 14
- Minimum – $97,100.00
- MidPoint – $121,400.00
- Maximum – $145,700.00
