Emergency Medical Services Manager – Manager (PSU0180)
Job Summary
The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Manager provides direction for a health care operation and/or emergency response service. This position will manage and oversee staff, participate in strategic planning initiatives, and establish and implement standards of practice, policies, and procedures.
Representative Duties
- Oversee the management and direction of staff and emergency operation/service
- Direct and oversee the supervision of staff
- Manage the budget, scheduling, and other unit-specific administrative functions
- Provide leadership and serve as a role model and resource to staff and patients
- May administer basic and advanced life support care to patients at the scene and during transport according to established state and local protocols
- Participate in the development and oversight of emergency response procedures; ensure staff are trained and comply with protocols
- Ensure operations are in accordance with state regulations and policies
- Evaluate current systems and develop and implement new systems to maximize efficiency and productivity
- Maintain positive internal and external relations with appropriate partners; provide advice related to emergency and medical operations
- Schedule support staff and ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 10
- Minimum – $61,800.00
- MidPoint – $75,700.00
- Maximum – $89,600.00

Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Experience
8+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years of supervisory experience
Equivalency
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
