Business Services Supervisor – Senior Supervisor (PSU0395)
Job Summary
Business Services Supervisors oversee the day-to-day operations of a business services unit or department. Responsibilities include leadership and supervision; fiscal management; work process and production oversight; regulatory, policy, and procedure compliance; customer service.
Representative Duties
- Oversee day-to-day operations, projects, or services; establish responsibilities; coordinate functions; maintain records
- Analyze financial records; identify and recommend cost containment measures and new revenue sources
- Evaluate equipment condition, maintenance, and repair; process service agreement contracts and assess work performed
- Oversee workstations; determine resource needs; identify opportunities to expand and improve operational efficiencies
- Ensure a quality customer service experience for internal and external customers; interact with customers, guests, staff; provide timely response to inquiries; follow-up as needed and escalate as required
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, customers, and guests; address issues of concern
- Develop and recommend marketing plans promoting products, services, or programs
- Implement environmental management or sustainability programs addressing recycling, conservation, or waste management
- Keep abreast of and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Hire, train, coach, supervise, schedule, and evaluate employees; recommend, plan, and coordinate professional development opportunities; adhere to Collective Bargaining Agreement provisions; participate in grievance/arbitration proceedings

- – Supervises direct reports, but primarily completes activities, tasks, and/or projects of a functional nature.
- Level Summary:
- – Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge to perform own work; spends majority of time on tasks related to own job responsibilities. May demonstrate subject matter expertise. Demonstrates intermediate to advanced planning, organizing, directing, and facilitating skills. Demonstrates the ability to coach assigned employees. Assigns and reviews completed work to verify accuracy, quality, and adherence to professional standards. Trains, coaches, mentors, and motivates staff. Anticipates potential problems, issues, and opportunities; researches and recommends solutions within defined policies. May develop creative recommendations for solving problems.
- Supervisory Responsibilities:

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 9
- Minimum – $56,200.00
- MidPoint – $68,800.00
- Maximum – $81,500.00
