Job Summary and Representative Duties
The Creamery Operations Supervisor supports the overall success of Berkey Creamery operations by leading staff, maintaining exceptional customer service standards, overseeing inventory and product quality, and ensuring accurate financial and operational procedures; trains and develops employees; oversees store appearance and safety standards; ensures accurate reporting and communication across the management team.
- Supervise, train, and motivate Creamery Attendants to deliver outstanding customer service; hire, onboard, train, schedule, and conduct performance management activities for assigned employees; provide ongoing coaching and feedback to support employee development
- Ensure every customer receives friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient service; resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting store environment
- Promote new products, seasonal offerings, and special promotions
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate product ordering and restocking
- Ensure proper product rotation and freshness standards
- Oversee retail packaging and ensure accurate and timely processing of e-commerce orders
- Maintain visual merchandising and product displays
- Monitor product pricing updates and ensure POS systems reflect changes
- Enforce food safety, sanitation, and health regulations; conduct daily safety and sanitation inspections of work areas and equipment; ensure proper temperature controls
- Ensure compliance with university policies and local/state requirements
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment, storage areas, and service counters
- Monitor cash handling procedures and reconcile registers
- Assist with reporting, tracking daily sales, and identifying growth opportunities
- Complete payroll for part-time employees; review timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies
- Follow Collective Bargaining Agreement provisions; participate in grievance procedures
