Financial Manager – Senior Manager (PSU0712)
Job Summary and Representative Duties
The Financial Manager oversees financial operations for assigned area; is responsible for financial planning, analysis, budgeting, reporting, and ensuring sound financial controls; guides the finance team; provides leadership with data-driven insights; develops and analyzes financial reports; prepares/forecasts and budget plans; serves as a key adviser on budget, financial, and risk matters; performs audits; manages research administration as required.
- Lead the preparation of annual budgets (general and restricted), forecasts, and long-term financial plans in alignment with university objectives
- Oversee daily financial operations; approve financial documents and transactions; review for compliance with policy and procedure as well as specific regulations and/or guidelines
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard assets
- Manage financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; provide actionable recommendations to leadership
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with management to monitor budget adherence and cost control measures
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to enhance performance and professional growth
- Collaborate with strategic planning related to financial issues; serve on committees as assigned

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 14
- Minimum – $97,100.00
- MidPoint – $121,400.00
- Maximum – $145,700.00
