Editorial Manager – Manager (PSU0768)
Job Summary
Editorial Managers develop, execute, and manage an editorial plan that presents a consistent voice and supports the University’s publication/content strategy; direct the work of a team of writers and editors to produce content and coordinate the delivery of content through a variety of channels; oversee a timely and relevant editorial calendar.
Representative Duties
- Direct all operations of a large-scale University publication; provide direction for editorial, design, and production staff
- Develop, manage, and execute editorial strategies; establish long- and short-range editorial planning
- Prescribe editorial standards and guidelines for each publication
- Actively research editorial stories through internal and external sources
- Manage proofreading process to ensure all content is reviewed prior to deployment
- Ensure that permission to reproduce pictures, illustrations, and other content, as well as copyrighted material, has been obtained and credited accurately
- Maintain liaison among authors, editors, and freelance personnel during all stages of production
- Support effective impact and marketing plans for publications
- Select, manage, motivate, develop, and evaluate the work of staff

- Supervisory Responsibilities:

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 12
- Minimum – $76,700.00
- MidPoint – $95,900.00
- Maximum – $115,100.00

8+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years of supervisory experience
