Job Summary

The Early Childhood Development Manager oversees all administrative, educational, and business aspects of an educational center to ensure that the services offered align with program philosophy, agency regulations, community needs, and business goals.

Representative Duties

  • Direct all aspects of a program or center including the program design, curriculum, policies, funding, performance evaluation, and administration
  • Represent program to families, visitors, and stakeholders; promote the educational benefits and services the center provides
  • Develop curriculum and learning objectives in accordance with agency standards; direct and monitor instructional methods and content; recommend methods and strategies to optimize learning experiences
  • Develop and implement professional development opportunities for center or lab
  • Oversee record systems to maintain student and personnel files according to NAEYC and state licensing standards; compile and submit records to requesting agencies
  • Prepare and submit budget requests to solicit program funding; determine allocations of funds; authorize program purchases
  • Recommend and determine scope of educational program offerings; prepare schedules and descriptions to estimate staffing and facility requirements; forecast enrollment based on survey, demographic, and employment data
  • Establish program philosophy plans, policies, and academic codes of ethics to maintain educational standards
  • Evaluate programs to determine effectiveness, efficiency; recommend and implement changes

Salary Structure
  • Comp Grade – 10
  • Minimum – $61,800.00
  • MidPoint – $75,700.00
  • Maximum – $89,600.00

10+ years of relevant experience, includes 3+ years of supervisory experience
