Student Engagement Manager – Manager (PSU1528)
Job Summary
The Student Engagement Manager directs and oversees the development and organization of the University’s extra-curricular programs including special events; lead and direct staff without daily supervision; motivates a team of staff toward the unit or campus goals; manages budgets and responds to complex issues that could impact the overall functioning of the unit or campus; promote student leadership, participation in college decision-making, and enrichment of student life; facilitate involvement opportunities for our students through co-curricular activities to help strengthen their connection to Penn State.
Representative Duties
- Responsible for creating and leading efforts to engage students in educationally purposeful out of class experiences
- Consult with other units in Student Affairs and across the University about matters related to student engagement
- Develop collaborative relationships with academic units, community organizations and other university departments
- Provide leadership to the University-wide student engagement initiative
- Ensure programs and services are inclusive and meet the needs of the student population
- Serve as the budget administrator and negotiate contracts for the program
- Serve on Student Affairs and University-wide committees and working groups
- Liaise with representatives from the participating media

- Supervisory Responsibilities:

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 10
- Minimum – $61,800.00
- MidPoint – $75,700.00
- Maximum – $89,600.00

Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Experience
8+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years of supervisory experience
Equivalency
