Security Access Manager – Senior Manager (PSU1707)
Job Summary
The Security Access Manager directs and manages physical security for the University community. Services include but are not limited to mechanical/electronic access controls, perimeter protection, surveillance, electronic security, and other life safety measures. The Security Access Manager plays a key role in organizational safety and security strategy and oversees the implementation of efforts to minimize loss.
Representative Duties
- Direct the technical and physical security oversight for the University
- Administer framework necessary to ensure safety and security operations, policies, and procedures; oversee the correction of all issues in the interest of safety, security, and risk reduction
- Identify vulnerabilities and perform security assessments on University facilities; including but not limited to critical infrastructure and security-sensitive facilities
- Direct and enhance physical security policies, protocols, committees, and initiatives
- Lead investigations, audits, and security inspections
- Consult and collaborate with University Police and customers on a variety of day-to-day security issues including, but not limited to, key controls, suspected security breaches, potential security threats, handling suspicious articles, packages, and mail, criminal incidents, and security technology inquiries
- Manage the central electronic security systems to include, but not limited to, access control, video surveillance, security alarm, and life safety alarm
- Direct security related specification, design, installation, and commissioning efforts
- Facilitate training programs for faculty, staff, and students regarding public safety and other regulatory requirements; revise and improve trainings as necessary
- Recommend new policies, procedures, programs, and services for continual improvement
- Provide guidance to administration, faculty, staff, and students; contribute to the strategic planning process
- Perform managerial and administrative duties to develop, lead and improve the performance, effectiveness, efficiency, and customer service of the work unit

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 12
- Minimum – $76,700.00
- MidPoint – $95,900.00
- Maximum – $115,100.00

10+ years of relevant experience, includes 3+ years of supervisory experience
