Job Summary

The Psychologist provides individual, couples, and group psychotherapy to students; provides initial consultation and diagnostic assessment for students with a wide range of mental health, behavioral, emotional, and developmental concerns; and may conduct urgent assessment and intervention when needed.

Representative Duties

  • Provide initial consultation and diagnostic assessment for students with a wide range of mental health, behavioral, emotional and developmental concerns
  • Administer and evaluate crisis assessment and intervention including assessment for safety
  • Provide individual, group, and couples psychotherapy
  • Refer students to appropriate internal and external resources; collaborate with psychiatric and health care providers as necessary
  • Provide consultation and expertise regarding complex crises and mental health concerns to the University community
  • Develop and deliver educational and outreach programs to address campus issues
  • Administer, score and interpret psychological assessment instruments and complete assessment batteries
  • Supervise psychology Graduate Assistants and Practicum students; lead seminars for the pre-doctoral psychology interns such as multicultural, research, group or assessment
  • Serve on University Committees; contribute to local, regional and/or national professional associations
  • Engage in and contribute to teaching, research, and scholarly publications and presentations as well as department related activities as affiliate faculty

  • Minimum – $86,300.00
  • MidPoint – $107,900.00
  • Maximum – $129,500.00
