Records Manager – Senior Manager (PSU2018)
Job Summary
The Records Manager provides leadership, consultation, and expertise in managing University records in accordance with institutional policies and governmental regulations; advises executive leadership and administrators on records management procedures and initiatives; oversees records units and centers across the organization; and implements University-wide records training programs, assessment initiatives, and system integrations to ensure quality retention, retrieval, organization, and storage practices.
Representative Duties
- Act as liaison between higher-level management and assigned employees
- Provide direction and oversight to Unit or University-wide records management activities
- Serve as technical expert on electronic and non-electronic records management issues
- Make recommendations that influence unit or University-wide policies, procedures, or programs related to records management
- Advise management teams, senior leadership, and the Office of General Counsel on adequacy of documentation, creation, and management of records, current and projected operational requirements, issues, and regulatory matters
- Participate in capital planning process for major information systems to ensure the records management function is represented
- Coordinate the development of Request for Proposal (RFP) by initiating requests for information
- Review RFPs to ensure appropriate level of specificity, accuracy, feasibility, and alignment with budget allocations, integration considerations, and/or other parameters
- Recommend strategies, especially where impact of strategy affects other departmental units, or requires cooperation with external entities
- Develop, evaluate, enhance, and/or implement quality improvement practices, processes, procedures
- Prepare and present briefings to higher level management officials on significant records management issues
- Manage/monitor various systems and collaborate directly with external vendors as needed
- Lead staff members, including hiring, development, and performance management

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 11
- Minimum – $68,200.00
- MidPoint – $85,200.00
- Maximum – $102,300.00

10+ years of relevant experience, includes 3+ years of supervisory experience
