Director of Campus Development – Supervisor (PSU2336)
Job Summary
The Director of Campus Development strategically works with the Office of University Development and Commonwealth Campus locations in the efforts to encourage and increase participation and annual support of funds for the University; facilitates, manages, and promotes alumni relations and development programs to benefit the campus or unit and its surrounding communities; manages the fundraising efforts for donors and prospects at their assigned campuses, including annual receipt and commitment goals; provides professional guidance and leadership in identifying and executing strategies that are most likely to be achieved through private philanthropy.
Representative Duties
- Direct and manage giving and advancement programs at one or more Commonwealth Campus locations
- Manage and promote alumni relations and development programs to benefit campuses and communities
- Develop and execute plans for evaluation, cultivation, and solicitation of a portfolio of prospects for annual gifts; travel to visit donors
- Identify and pursue new fundraising opportunities, including grants, scholarships, and major gifts
- Manage, assess, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of major gift prospects
- Establish and steward relationships on behalf of Commonwealth Campus fundraising with university staff, administrators, and executives
- Manage all strategic advancement initiatives in coordination with the Campus Chancellor; manage and promote events to enhance the philanthropic culture for the campus and university including recognition ceremonies, receptions, and engagement activities
- Build and maintain relationships with volunteers, donors, committees, and boards at designated Commonwealth Campuses
- Establish plans to solicit philanthropic support from alumni, friends, parents, local corporations, and regional foundations
- Collaborate with the communications team to create compelling fundraising materials, including brochures, newsletters, social media content, direct mail, and personal solicitations
- Develop and manage marketing strategies to promote fundraising campaigns and initiatives; leverage data and insights to enhance messaging and target fundraising efforts effectively
- Oversee the efforts of other staff ensuring all initiatives and expectations are carried out and goals are met
- Manage one or more Campus Board of Advisers

- Supervisory Responsibilities:

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 11
- Minimum – $68,200.00
- MidPoint – $85,200.00
- Maximum – $102,300.00
