Director of Campus Development Manager – Manager (PSU2387)

Job Summary

The Director of Campus Development Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and managing fundraising initiatives to support the financial goals and enhance development efforts for multiple Commonwealth Campuses; works closely with alumni, donors, faculty, staff, and students to create and implement effective fundraising strategies and campaigns; leads a team of fundraising professionals; leverages various fundraising channels to maximize contributions.

Representative Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to support the goals and priorities of multiple Commonwealth Campuses
  • Create and manage annual and campaign-specific fundraising plans, setting clear objectives and metrics for success; monitor progress, analyze results, and adjust strategies as needed
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful campaign rollouts and goal achievement
  • Build and maintain relationships with alumni, donors, and prospects to foster long-term engagement and support
  • Develop strategies for donor recognition, stewardship, and cultivation
  • Lead and mentor a team of advancement professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance
  • Set goals and performance metrics for the team and conduct regular performance reviews
  • Foster a collaborative and motivating work environment to drive fundraising success
  • Develop and manage the fundraising budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and alignment with financial goals; track expenses, analyze financial reports, and provide regular updates to leadership
  • Prepare and present reports on fundraising activities, outcomes, and financial performance to leadership and other stakeholders
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising strategies and campaigns; implement improvements based on feedback and results

Supervisory Responsibilities:
– Oversees a team (typically 4 or more; no fewer than 2) full
– time direct reports of individual contributors and/or first level supervisors.
Fiscal Responsibilities:
– Monitors and tracks department/area budget
– May plan, forecast, and/or assist in developing budgets
– May have final signature authority for specific area
Problem Solving:
– Encounters varied and complex problems
– Helps to develop creative and/or novel approaches to resolve problems that are difficult in nature but within limited scope
– Modifies, adapts, or refines guidelines if necessary to resolve issues or problems
Independence of Action:
– Works independently on complex or strategic assignments
– Uses existing practices and advanced working knowledge to determine appropriate work methods for the team

Salary Structure
  • Comp Grade – 14
  • Minimum – $97,100.00
  • MidPoint – $121,400.00
  • Maximum – $145,700.00
