Contracts Administrator – Intermediate Professional (PSU2392)

Job Summary

The Contracts Administrator reviews non-research contracts and ensures contract language meets statutory, regulatory, and University policy requirements; serves as final approver of terms and conditions, indemnification, liability, insurance, and termination language; in consultation and collaboration with attorneys and other internal partners, determines best and final offers; seeks approval to accept/reject offers; assists with conflict-of-interest reviews.

Representative Duties

  • Review, analyze, and process non-research contracts including consulting agreements, temporary staff agreements, business associate agreements, non-disclosure/confidentiality agreements; ensure contract language complies with statutory, regulatory, and University policy requirements
  • Collaborate with internal partners including attorneys, risk management, information security, and contract review personnel; in consultation and as directed, negotiate contract language, determine best/final offers, seek offer acceptance/rejection approval
  • Draft and submit material breach correspondence including Notice to Cure, Settlement/Release, and Demand Letters
  • Review research agreements to ensure appropriate approvals prior to routing for signature
  • Review liability and insurance requirements for building, facility, and commercial property lease and rental agreements
  • Prepare and process electronic requisitions, competitive bids, and reverse auctions; track activities and maintain records
  • Keep abreast of contract law; assist in the development/revision of University policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Assist with Conflict-of-Interest reviews

Salary Structure
  • Comp Grade – 10
  • Minimum – $61,800.00
  • MidPoint – $75,700.00
  • Maximum – $89,600.00
