Design and Construction Project Management – Manager (PSU2444)
Job Summary
The Design and Construction Project Management role provides leadership to the Project Management group within the Design and Construction Division (D&C); is responsible for workload management/assignments, professional development, and project performance for a group of Design and Construction Project Managers; leads capital project(s), project dispute resolution, process consistency and efficiency, initiative leadership, and organizational strategy development.
Representative Duties
- Serve on the Design and Construction leadership team and provide ongoing strategic input
- Lead and mentor team(s), including staffing, performance management, training, and professional development
- Oversee the development of project plans, timelines, and budgets
- Ensure workload coordination and assignments are consistent amongst project managers
- Establish and monitor critical timelines, ensuring milestones are met
- Serve as a key mediator in resolving conflicts and disputes among project stakeholders
- Manage budgets across multiple projects, ensuring costs are monitored, controlled, and forecasted
- Approve expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities and innovations, and provide financial reporting to leadership
- Oversee the mitigation of risks associated with design, construction, and schedule delays; develop contingency plans
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the progress, quality, and efficiency of design and construction projects; provide regular performance reports to senior leadership
- Develop, implement, and refine project management processes to improve delivery efficiency and client satisfaction
- Implement tools and methodologies to enhance project visibility, accountability, and transparency across all phases of the project lifecycle
- Conduct regular benchmarking activities to analyze project performance, design approaches, and construction methodologies against industry peers
- Build and maintain relationships with industry peers to foster knowledge sharing and collaborative opportunities
- Incorporate insights from peer analysis into strategic planning, operational improvements, and decision-making
- Evaluate emerging trends, tools, and processes to determine their potential impact on project delivery and organizational performance

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 14
- Minimum – $97,100.00
- MidPoint – $121,400.00
- Maximum – $145,700.00
