Job Summary and Representative Duties

The Fraternity and Sorority Life Manager directs and oversee the development and implementation of initiatives and operations to support the experience of fraternity and sorority students and organizations; leads, directs, and motivates staff; responds to complex issues; develops and delivers programs, events, tools, and resources that enhance student learning related to leadership, health and safety, civic engagement, and inclusion and belonging; works with internal and external stakeholders to enhance fraternity and sorority student and organization development.

  • Lead the creation of a comprehensive cocurricular experience for fraternity and sorority students and organizations

  • Develop strategies to enhance the health and success of fraternity and sorority chapters; position the University fraternity and sorority community to serve as a model of innovation and positive impact within the national sphere 

  • Guide advisement of fraternity and sorority governing council operations, chapter activities, community development programs, and health and safety initiatives

  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including university departments, advisors, alumni, house corporations, headquarters, national governing councils, and community agencies and organizations, to enhance and promote the interests of the fraternity and sorority community

  • Contribute to the development of budgets, including utilization of the Greek Fee

  • Evaluate programs, events, tools, and resources; recommend changes to ensure that they are inclusive, effective, and responsive to student needs

  • Develop and enforce unit policies regarding fraternity and sorority activities and events

  • Respond to issues or concerns within the fraternity and sorority community and make referrals to university and community resources

  • Provide leadership and direction for a team of fraternity and sorority staff; evaluate performance and provide development and training opportunities; optimize workflows; establish priorities; implement projects or initiatives to advance unit goals

  • Serve on Student Affairs and University-wide committees and working groups

Salary Structure
  • Comp Grade – 12
  • Minimum – $76,700.00
  • MidPoint – $95,900.00
  • Maximum – $115,100.00
