Recruiter – Senior Supervisor (PSU2503)
Job Summary and Representative Duties
The Recruiter is responsible for identifying, sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent to meet the needs of the University; partners closely with hiring managers to efficiently fill roles with high quality candidates; provides consultation on end-to-end recruitment strategies, including active and passive sourcing, candidate evaluation, and selection; proactively and effectively engages with the candidate community; ensures a seamless and positive experience for both candidates and hiring managers throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and business partner to assigned units across all phases of the recruitment process, including sourcing strategy, candidate screening, interviewing, selection, and offer negotiation
- Conduct in-depth recruitment strategy meetings to understand the needs of the hiring unit and position requirements; establish recruiting timelines aligned with organizational priorities and hiring manager expectations
- Advise and support hiring managers in developing accurate, compelling, and compliant job descriptions that attract a diverse pool of candidates with the required skills, experience, and qualifications
- Source, identify, and engage candidates using advanced recruiting techniques, including niche job boards, professional networks, talent communities, social media, and industry-specific events; connect candidates with opportunities at the University for which their skills, education, and experience meet the required qualifications
- Review applicant pools, analyze resumes, and conduct structured screening interviews; provide candidate assessments, insights, and recommendations to hiring managers, including the development and use of scorecards and competency-based evaluation tools
- Recommend and implement targeted sourcing, branding, and marketing strategies to build and maintain pipelines for current and future hiring needs
- Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency to increase candidate quality; provide regular updates and feedback to hiring managers and candidates throughout the recruitment process
- Build and maintain relationships with passive candidates and previous applicants to promote the organization as an employer of choice
- Serve as a trusted adviser on applicable laws, regulations, and institutional policies related to recruitment; ensure all recruiting activities are conducted in compliance with federal, state, and university requirements
- May supervise and mentor recruiting staff, including participation in hiring, onboarding, professional development, workload management, and performance evaluation

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 10
- Minimum – $61,800.00
- MidPoint – $75,700.00
- Maximum – $89,600.00
