Financial Reporting Accountant – Intermediate Professional (PSU2583)
Job Summary and Representative Duties
The Financial Reporting Accountant prepares, reviews, and submits financial statements and reports in response to external reporting needs; collaborates with financial leadership to interpret, define, and comply with cyclical reporting requirements; serves as the liaison between audit firms and the University.
- Prepare audited and unaudited financial statements on behalf of the University
- Serve as the point of contact with external auditors; facilitate efficient reporting and information exchanges between audit firms and University departments
- Analyze and interpret relevant Financial Accounting Standards Board and Uniform Guidance requirements to ensure University compliance
- Provide direction and guidance to University departments related to cyclical and periodic reporting requirements; collaborate with Strategic Finance Partners and unit leadership to implement and administer monthly reporting activities and processes; review financial documents for accuracy and compliance
- Prepare balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other financial disclosures
- Administer activities related to appropriation reports, subsidiary corporation reporting, regulatory audits, and other related reporting
- Analyze transactions and entries within the enterprise financial management systems in order to prepare consolidated statements and reporting

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 10
- Minimum – $61,800.00
- MidPoint – $75,700.00
- Maximum – $89,600.00
